Smartphone manufacturer HTC has launched the HTC Wildfire to target a younger audience with its HTC Sense user interface.

The HTC Sense-based HTC Wildfire is a touchscreen Android phone designed to integrate social network sites to make keeping in touch with friends easier, HTC said. HTC said its Friend Stream application gathers and displays content from social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Flickr into a single, organised stream of updates. Each contact viewed in the HTC Wildfire address book also includes a thread of recent communications with that person, including phone calls, text messages, emails and social network updates.

The handset measures 106.75 x 60.4 x 11.99mm. It offers read-only memory of 512MB flash and 384MB of random-access memory. Download speeds of 7.2 Mbps are achievable, and it is equipped with a five-megapixel camera.

T-Mobile has said it will stock the HTC Wildfire as part of its Android range in UK stores and online from June 14 from £20 a month.
